BEL: Cancelled March Fails To Deter Gathering At Place de La Bourse In Brussels

People gather in the Place de la Bourse to pay tribute to the 31 victims of the attacks in Brussels last week, on March 27, 2016 in Brussels, Belgium. The peaceful gathering in the Place de la Bourse was disrupted by right-wing protesters in what is believed to be a demonstration in reaction to last week's terrorist attacks in Brussels. The protest was later dispersed by riot police using water cannons.

Right-wing self-described hooligans hold a demonstration on Place de la Bours in Brussels, Belgium. Days after suicide bomber attacks at Brussels Zaventem airport and Maelbeek/Maalbeek train station killed 34 people and injured over 300, security levels have been lowered, but on the Easter Sunday following the attacks, the city still remains on edge. A 'March for Peace' scheduled for the holiday was canceled due to safety concerns. Meanwhile police used water cannons on a group of the few hundred right-wing demonstrators who descended upon the peaceful ongoing vigil on the Place de la Bourse.
